One month old

Found a cow ear on the amazing quilt sent by "cousin" Carol...will have to take a picture of the whole farm animal quilt!

Leg warmers from aunt Heather are the perfect thing for a cold house in the morning!

Sweater, hat, and blanket by grandma Lynette.
By our home scale this morning, Rowan is weighing in at 10 pounds! Arms are getting tired in trying to keep up with the holding, bouncing and standing-while-rocking demands. I'd love to cuddle and hold him all day (which we are close to doing as it is...) but we decided to cave in and cash our babies R us gift cards in on a swing for a tiny bit more hands free time when he's sleeping. The little guy wants to be in motion or on us even while sleeping. We're getting him used to the sling and front pack carrier, but I certainly can't have him attached to my side while using a torch and sharp instruments while repairing! Luckily we found one that was less of a monstrosity than most and he loves it.

I'm slowly getting used to the house being strewn about with baby stuff everywhere; burp clothes all over for a quick grab, various blankies over couch arms, a bowl of his things on the coffee table (nail scissors, vitamin D drops, gas drops, saline and bulb syringe..) swaddling blanket rotating around the house...it's a bit hard on my anti-clutter senses. With the swing, I have more than a 10 minute burst to get as much household stuff done as possible...trash out, bills paid, load of diapers washed, quick vacuum, etc.

Rowan's doing great, though. He's getting strong quickly and the head is getting sturdy. His growing chub is allowing socks to stay on finally and the Newborn clothes are outgrown already.
